UV Standard 801. Hohenstein is an accredited testing laboratory and research institute and, in parallel to international standards, they have developed an own, stricter measuring standard for UV clothing. Not only are the fabrics of our iQ-UV shirts and iQ-UV shorts examined in their new condition, but they are also measured under special stress conditions, such as after stretching, when wet or after prolonged use. Only when the products can withstand the high demands in situations such as watersports or other extreme situations will they receive certification for textile UV protection from the Hohenstein Institute, Standard 801.
Fishing nets. iQ-UV clothing for water sports consists of 78% recycled fishing nets. About ten percent of all plastic waste in the sea are the so-called ghost nets. Utilizing these fishing nets for iQ-UV products reduces their quantity and protects marine life from the life-threatening effects. In the metaphorical sense, with every iQ-UV shirt you remove a piece of plastic from the sea.

Safety in compliance with the EU regulations. This is a certified sun protection product from IQ-UV that complies with the European PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Regulation (EC) 2016/425 and fulfils the standards EN ISO 13688:2013 and EN 13758-2:2003+A1:2006 and AS/NZS 4399:2017.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Our products are guaranteed free of harmful substances, as we only use materials that are completely free of pollutants. All iQ-UV 300 products meet the requirements of the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 in the highest test class and are therefore approved for babies and toddlers. This makes our clothing ideal for the youngest children, because they are particularly vulnerable to UV radiation.
