Sustainability at iQ UV: Our Contribution to a Better Future 

Sustainability is a Choice

The life cycle of a product is crucial to its sustainability. How is it made? How long can it be used? And what happens afterward? The longer a product is in use, the more sustainable it becomes, as it consumes fewer resources and generates less waste.

That’s why at iQ UV, we rely on durable, high-quality materials and sustainable production. Our goal: to combine protection for people and the environment.

Less Sunscreen, Less Plastic

Each iQ UV shirt saves up to 10 kilograms of sunscreen, as it provides reliable UV protection without chemical filters. In 2024 alone, our UV protection clothing helped save 375 tons of sunscreen, preventing around 1.5 million plastic bottles and tubes from being used. This way, we not only protect the skin but also our oceans.

Recycled Raw Materials: Conserving Resources

Our products are primarily made from recycled materials, reducing waste and saving up to 90% energy compared to conventional fabric production.

• iQ UV PRO and AIR shirts are made from recycled PET bottles. In 2024, 109,965 PET bottles were repurposed.
• AQUA and FREE shirts contain recycled nylon from old fishing nets and carpets, saving 30 tons of crude oil.
• Our caps and hats are made from 100% recycled nylon.

In total, by using recycled raw materials, we have avoided 40,020 kg of CO2 emissions.

Saving Water with iQ UV

Water is one of our most valuable resources. While a conventional cotton T-shirt consumes about 2,750 liters of water, an iQ UV PRO T-shirt requires only 18 liters. As a result, we saved around 60 million liters of water in 2024.

Additionally, the antimicrobial technology in our PRO and AIR collections ensures that clothing needs to be washed less frequently. This not only conserves water but also extends the lifespan of the products.

Sustainable Packaging Solutions

Plastic bags are standard in the clothing industry, but we take a different approach. Since 2019, we have consistently switched to paper packaging. Today, over 90% of our individual packaging is made of paper, actively reducing plastic waste.

Green Energy: Our Power Comes from the Sun

Our headquarters is equipped with a solar power system that covers 97% of our electricity needs. Only 3% of our energy consumption comes from the public grid. This allows us to maintain an almost self-sufficient and climate-friendly power supply.

Responsibility for Our Employees

For us, sustainability also means social responsibility. In 2024, there was not a single workplace accident at iQ UV, and 75% of our employees participate in the company pension plan.
