Accessibility Statement

1) Introduction

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest.

Below you will find information on the accessible usability of our online offering.

We inform you about,

  • what content and functions you can expect on this website,
  • how you can use this content and these functions,
  • which options for accessible use are available to you, and
  • which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.

2) Content and functions of this website

This website is an online shop for the sale of goods.

Goods in this context are physical items.

Products are presented here which can be added to an electronic shopping basket and then ordered and paid for in a binding manner.

This website has a header and a footer menu.

In the header menu, the goods we offer are listed by category and can be accessed individually from there.

Each product is described on its own detail page with further information about its key characteristics, the scope of delivery and the total price. From there, it can be added to the electronic shopping basket.

In addition, the electronic shopping basket can be accessed via the header menu as soon as you have added at least one product. From this basket, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.

In the footer menu, you will find links to our legal notice with our contact details, as well as information on the legal basis of our online offering, on shipping and payment options, and links to further helpful service pages.

3) Explanations on using the content and functions

3.1 Virtual buttons

This website can be operated using virtual buttons.

3.2 Home, overview and product detail pages

On the homepage, you will find a selection of products in the central area. By interacting with a product display, you will be taken to the product detail page.

In the header menu, you can navigate between the different product categories.
After selecting a category, you will be taken to an overview page displaying all products within that category.

By interacting with a product display on the overview page, you will again be taken to the product detail page.

The product detail pages contain all essential information about the product and the total price, and may also include a quantity selection element and a shopping basket button.

If available, the quantity selector can be used to define the desired order quantity.

3.3 Electronic shopping basket

By clicking the shopping basket button, you add the product (in the selected quantity, if applicable) to the electronic shopping basket.

This electronic shopping basket can be accessed at any time via the header menu.

Here, you can first review the products you have added. Using the corresponding buttons, products can be removed or, where applicable, the order quantity can be changed.

3.4 Electronic ordering process

After reviewing your selection, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the relevant buttons.

To do so, you will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, email address and delivery and/or billing address) via an input form.

You can then select from the available delivery or service options in the next step.

Finally, you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment details and complete the order.

The binding submission of the order only takes place once you click the designated button on the final order page. This button is labelled “Buy”, “Buy now”, “Order with obligation to pay” or another clear wording.

Before clicking this order button, you can use your browser’s “Back” button at any time to return to previous steps and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.

If you choose to pay using an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider’s system to complete the payment.

4) Legal accessibility requirements

This website, as an online shop, is classified as a so-called “service in electronic commerce” and is characterised by electronic ordering and payment options.

It is therefore subject to specific legal accessibility requirements.

In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are tailored to the needs of people with disabilities and enable usability with digital assistive technologies.

For this purpose, the online shop functions of this website must be

  • perceivable
  • operable
  • understandable and
  • robust

in design.

Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they can be easily perceived by all users.

Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with limited mobility or cognitive abilities.

Understandability means that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognisable and clearly labelled.

Finally, robustness requires that the content and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restriction, even when users rely on digital assistive technologies.

If products offered in the online shop are subject to their own accessibility requirements, information on their accessible use must be provided where available.

5) Available aids for accessible use

This website meets accessibility requirements through the following measures:

  • Alt texts for images: Images in the online shop are equipped with alternative text that provides a brief description and can be processed by screen readers.
  • Accessible captchas: To ensure that entries are made by humans, so-called “captchas” may be used. These can be completed not only visually but also by solving simple logic tasks.
  • Operability via mouse and keyboard: The online shop functions can be used both with a mouse and a keyboard. Keyboard control keys can be used to move and activate the mouse pointer.
  • Browser-independent page display: The content and functions of this website are available in the same layout, alignment and resolution regardless of the browser used.
  • Verified HTML code accuracy: All HTML code is continuously checked for functionality to prevent malfunctions and ensure compatibility with assistive technologies.
  • Sufficient spacing between characters: Characters are displayed with sufficient spacing to ensure readability is not impaired.
  • Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): Content, elements and functions automatically adapt to the size of the screen being used.
  • Text notifications for incomplete input fields: If mandatory input fields are not completed, a text notice is displayed in addition to a colour highlight, indicating which information is missing.
